It's here! It's here! My garden window is here!!!
It looks pretty crappy from the outside, I'll admit. I'd heard from others that they are pretty weird looking on the outside and I have to agree. But I don't care because I LOOOVE it from the inside!
Just as luck would have it, I actually stopped at Ikea today to pick up a bunch of these pots:
They have all different sizes, the ones I got ranged in price from $.99 to 2.99 and they are super cute and textured in person!
Since it's starting to get cold, we wanted to salvage any of the herbs still growing in the garden so Adam and I ran out after dinner and dug up the mint, chocolate mint, 2 different basils, and the rosemary. We planted them in the new pots and set them in their new home. It looks kind of like a jungle right now because I need to do some pruning still.
There's actually a glass shelf that can go in the garden window too but since the basil and rosemary are a little out of control right now I'm going to wait to put it in.
They also started painting the living room and some of the kitchen today
It was a little too dark to take the picture considering most of our lights are not in this room right now. It's a very light Taupe color and I love it!
Oh, I also ordered my stools today!
They are a knock-off of these Pauchard stools ($300 a pop!) for a fraction of the price and the reviews on Overstock are glowing! I can't wait to see them in person. (By the way, I went through Cashbaq and was able to get a 5% off coupon on furniture plus an extra 5% back because I went through Cashbaq! I love a bargain!)
I was originally looking at getting this guy from Pottery Barn
but I thought it would be just too much wood tone and I liked how the metal broke that up. Plus, the Pottery Barn one was 2 inches taller which seemed a tad too high. I picked up two of the Pauchard knockoffs for less than the price of 1 of the PB ones!
